Worth MacMurray is a Principal with Washington, DC area - based Governance & Compliance Initiatives, LLC. With over 30 years of legal compliance and corporate operational experience, he focuses on anti-bribery management systems (ISO 37001) and corporate anti-corruption compliance (FCPA, UKBA) programs.
Previously, he served as General Counsel of public and privately held software, technology and government contractor entities, as a leader of the Washington, D.C. anti-corruption practice for PwC and as an independent consultant. During his career, Worth has led or participated in numerous high-profile and complex anticorruption or transactional matters both in the US and overseas (Argentina, France, Germany, Ghana, Haiti, Iraq (Kurdistan), Pakistan, Sweden and the UK).
Worth was a member of the US Technical Advisory Group sponsored by ANSI that worked with 60+ other countries to create recently-issued ISO 37001 standard for Anti-bribery management systems. He holds the PECB designations "ISO 37001 Lead Implementer" and the "ISO 37001 Lead Auditor". He is a co-founder of the awareness-raising and informational non-profit project, the ISO 37001 Info Initiative (I3).
Worth speaks widely and publishes frequently. He was interviewed about ISO 37001 by Forbes.com. His recent articles appear in Ethisphere Magazine, the FCPA Blog, Corporate Compliance Insights and Corporate Counsel publications and are available on LinkedIn. He is a member of the US State Department's US Speaker Program and participates in anti-bribery international video conferences on a pro bono basis.
He is a graduate of Princeton University (Woodrow Wilson School of Public and Int. Affairs - Latin American Studies Program) and the Georgetown University Law Center.
