Course Description

This course will enhance the paricipants' BCM knowledge and will initiate them to the recognised BCM professional practices as well as the BCM programme implementation cycle.

This course is based on a complete and thorough model providing the participants with the methodology and tools required to understand the BCM programme.

Audience

This course is designed for BCM Professionals with a minimal experience and with the objective to enhance their BCM knowledge in order to implement and maintain a complete and high quality BCM programme.

Objectives

Upon completion of the course, participants should be able to:

  • Establish the relations between internationally recognised best practices in the field of Business Continuity Management

  • Identify and understand the components of a complete Business Continuity Management programme

  • Define the implementation process of a Business Continuity Management programme:

    • Initiate the BCM programme and obtain Management commitment

    • Determine the functional requirements

    • Evaluate and recommend Business Continuity Strategies

    • Develop and implement the Business Continuity plan

    • Exercice and maintain the BCM programme

    • Develop a BCM culture

  • Identify success factors and risks associated with a Business Continuity Management programme
